The Kayon Mountain Farm is a 500 hectare farm owned and operated by Ismael Hassen Aredo and his family since 2012. There are 25 permanent staff, and 300 seasonal. The farm offers free transportation, and financial support for building schools and administration buildings for the community. The farm has a nursery on site and also creates their own compost to fertilize the trees naturally. Natural process coffees on the farm are picked, rinsed, sorted, and moved to drying beds for 12-20 days, depending on weather.
